Sooo Sad.......Or is it?
I have a very sad story to tell!! It all begins with my sweet husband buying a Nissan Titan Truck, bright shiny red, fun to drive, and I look hot in it!! Oh sorry I'm getting carried away. Your probably thinking (isn't this a sad story.) Ok so in getting this truck my husband has always had dreams about what he wanted to do when he got his cool new truck. One of these things included putting his two dogs in the back of his truck. the whole family loads up and we get our Mastiff and our German wired haired pointer named Hazy in the back of the truck. Off we go and we are heading down the street going 30 mph, I look back at both dogs, they seem happy, tongues flapping in the wind, then I look back again and O-oh where is Hazy? No Hazy she is gone, so we turn around speedy quick and there she is on the side of the road. Stupid dog jumped out!! What kind of a dog jumps out of a moving vehicle. So her leg was hanging there in a very not good way, and we took her to the vet she had broke the crap out of her leg!! It is going to cost alot of money to fix. Well people let me tell you something right now my dogs are my pets not my children I love them from a distance. I pat them on the head and tell them to go away. Three thousand dollars is not something I'm willing to spend on a dog. So me and my husband decided to put her down. (In asking people what they think about this people are all over the board on this one, some people can't believe we would even think of such a horrible thing, others say yeah I would never spend that kind of money on a dog.) This was a huge moral dilemma for me personally I felt terrible. I would look at her and I just saw her asking me to let her live. I brushed her hair, petted her alot and gave her little treats, I felt like I was getting her ready to go to heaven. So the day came me and my husband were crying, Hazy kept looking up at Ben and licking his face. It was brutal, so we left in tears paid our money to have it done. Well then on the way home (still in tears) The Vet doctor calls us and says that another pet doctor wants to save Hazy and do the operation on her leg. Keep her with him tell she can walk again and find her a good home!! Can you believe that, it was awesome, so great to know she was not going to die. Her life will go on. So Hazy good luck doggie! I hope you have a happy life!!

Good friends return
I am so excited my long lost buddies are home to stay. Nate and Ginnie have been MIA for a very long time!! They are home from there hiatus of schooling and partying. Now Nathan Johnson is a doctor, I mean a doctor can you believe it. Ben and I are, (well I'll just say it, In love with both of these people.) They are are really good friends and now they are our doctor friends. Glad we hung on to these friends, it always pays to know a doctor but better yet be best friends with one!!! Score!

Mommy vs. Mom

The saddest thing happened in my life a couple of days ago...... You all know my oldest son Caden, he just barely graduated from 1st grade. He still gives me a kiss when he gets out of the car in the mornings, he loves to snuggle me and love me. I still call him baby from time to time. Cause he is my baby my first baby!! Well the other day he started calling me Mom. I noticed it right away cause he has always called me Mommy. I asked him "Caden why are you calling me Mom?" He said, " I've decided I'm going to call you Mom now." I said "Why, I like when you call me Mommy." He said "I'm to old Mom. I've grown out of that. Everyone has to do it." Ahhhhh Well this was a sad realization for me personally, It just made me feel that we are out of that little sweet kid stage where they are innocent of the world and growing up. Oh it just breaks my heart. So to all you moms out there cherish your sweet babies calling you mommy cause one day they up and decide to call you just mom.

Hiking

Me and the fam went up to Little Cottonwood Canyon on Sunday afternoon. It was one of those days when I felt like , all this work that it takes to raise this family is worth it. I watched as my oldest son Caden, hiked all around the rocks by himself not wanting any of my help. Blake wanted me to hold his had the whole time we where hiking, I love that at least he still wants my help. It seems like only yesterday when we had Caden in this same backpack hiking around with only one baby. Now look at us we have three kids together and we are going strong. What a cute family huh!!
I absolutely love the outdoors, It makes me feel alive!! I love the smells of flowers and fresh air. I love the sound of the running river. It is just the best place ever.Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Help me!!

Ok, so me and Ben want a new car. Yes I said want. Our old 1996 Nissan Altima is on its last leg. We keep on neglecting it hoping it will kill over, so we have a good reason to buy a new car! I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a little something materialistic to make me happy. I know, I know it doesn't really work, but I'd sure like to give it a try, I think it might work, if only for a little while.... Anyway enough about my inner struggles. I want to know everyones opinion. We or shall I say Ben wants a Nissan Titan truck to feel like a big strong man. I kinda want a Nissan Pathfinder.... What do you think, which one would I look hotter in? wink wink, I think it would be cool to have a Truck, just imagine (this is for all my good buddies out there) Its a girls night out, we all load into my souped up Nissan Titan truck and go party, girls night out. But then the Pathfinder is nice and comfortable and seats alot more people. This is really just a second car for us.... (FYI, I know it sounds like I'm a materialistic person, I swear I'm not, just fun to get new stuff from time to time, do you feel me?)Oh goodness what a hard decision poor me huh!!

Always running behind

I wake up every day to the exact same thing-My middle son Blake always wakes up at 7 every morning. In my opinion way to early. I feel anything before 8 is an abomination in my sight. He comes in and the first thing that he says is "mom I'm hungry." Then I say "Blake you are always hungry." So I put him off as long as I can, until he gets the clever idea that a sure fire way that I will get out of bed is if Brynlee is awake. So I hear Brynlee cry and hear the scurrying little feet run away. I say " Blake did you wake Brynlee up?" He giggles and says "Mom she was already awake." I finally get out of bed..... My oldest son Caden has school at 8:25, he and I have a hard time waking up so we get going at oh 8:07. I never have him do his reading the night before because I'm the hugest procrastinator on the planet. So while I'm dressing him I'm asking him "where is your book Caden, why haven't you read it yet." ( this is to divert the blame from me so I don't feel like such a crappy mom) So while he is asking me if he can have some great breakfast like eggs or french toast, I'm saying " Caden we don't have time, your late, you slept in, you need to read and brush your teeth." Then he says "mom, I'm hungry." So I say fine" (like it is such an inconvenience for him to eat) I grab the fastest thing that he can eat in the car. ( usually a granola bar or yogurt) Then I continue to say things like "Caden you move like a turtle" and "my grandma moves faster than you." Well then we finally get into the car, sometimes I have him read his book on the way to school if we are really late. We pull up with a screech then I tell him to give me a quick kiss, I tell him to run, maybe you can beat your teacher into your classroom and not get another tardy. ( they are sending me home notes now telling me my child is always late) Well that about sums up my crazy mornings of making my sweet children feel loved and cherished like there the most important thing to me. You know I just like to send them off to school with a little extra boost at the beginning of the day to really set there day off right! I know, I know, you want to nominate me for mother of the year. Well just wait cause this is just the first installment to my 3 part series of the wonderful mom that I am......
